What is OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode)?

OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode. It is an enhanced screen technology for type of displays of phones and PCs. It utilizes ‘organic’ LEDs which releases light and in most cases does away with the need for the back-light of an LCD display resulting in a potentially thinner panel. In OLED technology a sheet of organic material (carbon built) is crammed between two conducting sheets (an anode and a cathode), which in turn are crammed between a glass top plate and a glass bottom plate. OLEDs produce excellent result than LCDs and also has fast reaction times, broader viewing angles, higher brightness and extremely light weight designs.
